Where to Find the Highest Paying Plumbing Jobs in the US

Are you an aspiring plumber looking for the best place to start your career? Or maybe you're an experienced plumber looking for a change of scenery? Either way, you'll want to know which cities and states offer the highest paying plumbing jobs. The Midwest is a great place to start your search. The region has a strong demand for plumbers, and it's considered an excellent opportunity for anyone in the plumbing industry. Unfortunately, there's a nationwide shortage of workers, and plumbers are in particularly high demand.

To find the best places for plumbers, we looked at two sets of data: searches for “plumber near me” and the employment level of plumbers across cities and states. We then compared these two sets of data with weighted scores to determine which locations had the highest demand for plumbing work and the most significant shortage of plumbers. Georgia emerged as one of the top states for aspiring plumbers or those looking to relocate. The state has a high concentration of plumbers, with an average salary that's 10% higher than the national average.

Sherman and Ada are two cities in Georgia that stand out as ideal places for plumbers, with a large population and high demand for services. According to Google search trends, searches for plumbers and other local contractors reached their highest levels in five years during the pandemic. This suggests that now is a great time to become a plumber, as more homeowners are launching home improvement projects. Nationwide, plumbers earn 34.3% more than the average annual wage for all jobs, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). This means that if you're looking for a career with good pay and job security, plumbing is definitely worth considering.
